Jaime Olmedo, PhD professor
Graduated in Spanish Philology with an extraordinary award by The Complutense University of Madrid. Graduated cum laude in Italian Philology by The University of Bologna (Italy). PhD Summa cum laude in Philosophy by the University of Bologna. He has also completed a graduate program in Culture management by the University of Catalonia.
He completed his PhD thesis “comparative literature in the Royal College of Spain at the University of Bologna” in 1996 and 1997. Between 1998 and 2002 was part of the Academic Department of the Cervantes Institute. And coordinated in the Spanish Royal Academy as representative of the Cervantes Institute, the Pan Hispanic Dictionary on questions/doubts and since March 2002, he is the technical Director of the Spanish Biographical Dictionary, where he has also coordinated the chronological Atlas of History of Spain.
He is also, a Spanish Literature professor at the Complutense University of Madrid.
During his professional career he has received numerous awards and distinctions including:
The VII Extraordinary Graduation Award in Humanities Area of the Complutense University of Madrid, “Ciudad de Talavera” Culture Award (2009), the Gold Master of the High Management Forum (2010) and the “Fernando Rojas” award of Arts (2011).
He is member of The Royal Academy of History, of The Royal Academy of Fine Arts and Historical Sciences of Toledo and The Royal Academy of Sciences Of Cordoba, belles letters and Noble Arts.
