Located in Toledo (View map)
Located in one of the most beautiful landscapes of Toledo, on the banks of the river Tajo and with thousands of hectares forest, this Country House is one of the most traditional and iconic partridge shooting estates in Spain. The Duke of Santoña, grandfather to the present owners, an Anglophile who entertained the Prince of Wales, was the first to organize driven shooting in Spain back in 1880 in honour of HM King Alfonso XII. This tradition was continued in the same grand style by his son the late Count of Teba, Hunting, a legend amongst Spanish shoots.
The palace was built in the 15th century as a hunting pavilion for the wealthy and powerful cardinals of Toledo. With the passing of the centuries, it has been enlarged and improved by succeeding generations of the Teba family. The beautiful and impressive gardens were designed by the famous French landscape designer Jean Claude Nicolas Forestier in the late 19th century.
Today, you will find a place with all the warmth and taste of the past but with all the modern conveniences.
There are some spectacular experiences on offer at this wonderful Palace. The Count of Teba and his family will be happy to arrange a hunt, Tiro al pichón, and a horseback ride through the beautiful “Spanish grand Canyon”, followed by a wonderful picnic next to banks of the Tajo River with stunning views of the canyon. If you prefer something more sedate, why not finish the day with a splendid dinner overlooking the Tajo River under a beautiful tent while listening to soothing violin music.
